In this video, I will show you how to crochet ballet flats (slippers, footies) using knitted yarn. They are quite quick to make, although your hand might get a little tired.
For this project, I used Bobilon Medium yarn 7-9mm and a size 6 hook.
You can adjust the video playback speed and choose the quality. Also, for your convenience, I’ve created a timing guide for this video:
1:55 – how much yarn was used;
2:29 – which yarn I’m using;
3:34 – the size I knitted for;
4:18 – length of the sole in centimeters;
5:16 – starting number of stitches;
6:15 – brief description of the process;
10:14 – hook number, starting to cast on stitches;
12:12 – starting to knit the first row;
21:43 – knitting the middle stitch of the toe;
26:05 – knitting the second row of the sole;
32:50 – starting to knit the third row of the sole;
38:20 – starting to knit the upper part – first row;
40:56 – second row of the upper part;
44:42 – starting to knit the toe, knitting two double crochets together;
49:36 – third row of the upper part – combined. Starting with single crochets and transitioning to double crochets on the toe;
51:01 – knitting the toe with double crochets;
56:22 – next, fourth row of the upper part;
58:23 – knitting the toe of the fourth row with double crochets;
1:02:16 – last, finishing row. We will do the edging.
